Final league match of the season

Cambridge South secured a well-earned 2-0 win over Saint Neots on Saturday, thanks to great hits from both Ahmad and captain Rob.

The hosts started the first quarter with strong pressure, before South came back with a stunning shot by Ahmad (which Aurelio kindly stole). We had strong possession driving down the right wing from Noah which led to many short corners for the team. Ryan faced a series of difficult challenges later but refused to let anything across the goal line. He sliced the ball out of the attacker’s grasp and blocked and cleared all shots that came his way.

In the second half our play improved leading to a short corner that Rob powered in. John's claim that it hit his stick refuted by both teammates and the St Neots keeper.

A heroic performance from Cameron alongside his fan club won him Man of the Match. This determined performance from the whole team secured a hard-fought victory for the side.

Brilliant defending and supporting the second wave behind his winger.

Something about going to the wrong pitch in the wrong town.

Claiming a goal his team mates and the opposition keeper knew wasn't his. Plus kit bag gate: bringing the bag needed by the M5s to St Neots, then turning around to head back to pick up the forgotten bag only to find it was in his boot anyway.
