With only 6 players available, it might be a stretch to call this game ‘Kettering vs South’. 'Whilst our numbers were low, Kettering’s were very high, so they were understandably keen for it to go ahead, and kindly lent us numerous players to facilitate an evenly matched full game. Sophie L had an excellent game in midfield, with some great interceptions and distribution. Anna was super solid at the back in her second game of the day, and, in the absence of a GK was even brave enough to defend a flick wearing only a short corner mask against a very hard-hitting centre forward. The flick went high over the top, Anna having done enough to put her off. There were excellent driving runs into the D by Charlotte and Alice, finishing in some goals, and the game ended 3-all, making it worth the long and chilly trip.
