On Saturday the 5th of September, the first match of the season, for the 6s, begins. On the away grounds of Bishop Stortford, the sun was shining. Both teams had a mixture of young and experienced players all ready and exited to play.

Cambridge South began very strong with multiple early offensive attempts, and it was only a matter of time before a goal was scored. One great pass got the ball into a dangerous place for Bishop stortford and as it was received by Rob, who seized the opportunity and secured an early goal. It wasn't long before we got another goal with Rob scoring his second and eager to score a hatrick. After a few more attempts from both teams, a penalty was awarded to cambridge south, John steps up to take it, aims towards the bottom left corner and scored making the score at half time 3 to 0 to cambridge south.

The second half started with a great attempt from Bishop stortford with multiple shots on goal, which were all saved by Ryan earning him the rigjtful title of man of the match. However, eventually, Bishops Stortford scored a goal.  

Later, one of the players from Cambridge South made a run down the wing and took a shot, which just missed. However, it was deflected superbly by John. Rob rounded the keeper to bag his hat-trick and made the final score 6 to 1. Overall, it was a very exciting game with many attempts for both teams.
