Beautiful sunny afternoon win
Fraser HopkinsIt was a beautiful sunny afternoon for a home match against Peterborough. We dominated the first half scoring a couple of early goals putting us in the lead. One of the goals were disallowed because Julian got his stick caught on the goal keeper. Our defence stopped every run they made and not letting the ball go in our D in the first half.
We started strong in the second half scoring another goal at the start. They scored two goals then they were awarded a penalty flick bringing the score to 4-3.
In the last ten minutes Julian and John both scored goals bringing the final score to 6-3.
Luke Hedley
Great debut for our newest Southerner. Warm welcome, Luke! Shout outs to Cameron and Tom W who controlled the game well.
Rob Barton
Missing a big chunk of the match and losing the rock-paper-scissors tie-break. Joint LoM shout out to John from his team-mates for interesting dribble-related decision making.
