A fantastic 1–0 win and a real test of determination and teamwork, particularly as we had no substitutes and everyone had to give everything from the first whistle to the last. The whole team worked incredibly hard and showed great resilience, commitment and support for one another throughout the game. Leah Earl (Pom) was outstanding, while Emily Ellis and Emily Rainsford both put in an incredible amount of work and never stopped battling for the team. Rosie Scott was excellent in defence, remaining composed and working tirelessly to keep us organised at the back. Personally, this was my best match, and I really enjoyed playing alongside such a hardworking and committed group of players. To come away with a 1–0 victory, despite having no substitutes, was something we should all be incredibly proud of. The umpire also congratulated us afterwards, saying what a fantastic match it had been and even commenting that it was better than the men’s match he had umpired

Well Done ladies!!!
