Despite a 3–0 loss, the team put in a strong performance, showing great defensive play and working hard for each other throughout the match. Poppy in particular had an amazing match at the back, earning POM in not only this match for her great tackles and 16’s but also in the L6’s game earlier in the day. There were some fantastic runs up the sideline, creating good opportunities and helping to move the ball forward. Aria had an amazing game in goal, helping keep the score down when City managed to get through the back line. Although the result didn’t go our way and did not reflect the amazing hockey the girls played this weekend against a side that has had a very successful start of the season, there were plenty of positives to take into the next game!
