Having played 2 games back to back, recollections may be slightly hazy as to what happened in which game, but highlights include:

• Excellent senior debut in goal for Catherine, making lots of crucial saves
• Another great game at the back by Poppy, including keeping calm to brilliantly recover and track back to save the day after an initial slip-up gave Pelicans a chance on goal.
• Great energy in the midfield/attack by Rose, Leah and Alice, and at the back from Sammy and Lou, all doubling up to make the game happen, right off the back of the 5s game
• Sophie ‘I can only goal hang due to a rugby injury’ – with 2 goals we can say she did a great job of it!
• Great run and strike by Kaylee, and lots of strong balls into the D throughout

We beat Pelicans’ 3^rd team, despite having lost to their lower (Dev) team the weekend before. Turns out that it’s a lot easier to play with 11 players and subs, than just 10 – who’d have thought it?
