The final Saturday in August marked the first friendly of the season for the Ladies’ 4s. The day started with Jess very confused about the weather (changing at half time seemed to be her solution) and lots of ladies excited to start the season. We were greeted in the car park with an opposing player’s car having had an unfortunate incident with a lamppost.

Highlights of the game:

• Ginny, Nicky and Cassie (MoM) holding a superb defence.
• Some lovely one-two’s between Lou and Ania.
• Half time oranges and, as always, Percy Pigs.
• Some fantastic midfield play from Bex, Nicole, Lizzie and Vicki up to Katy, Sophie and Naomi in attack.
• Lizzie, Naomi and Sophie had their debut games.
• And sadly we said goodbye to Elaine (we hope she’ll be back)!

An unfortunate loss. However, lots of lessons learnt ready for the upcoming friendlies, Bhav’s training and the season.
