No report from the team, so here's what we told the press
South 5ths found themselves battling both the elements (wind and driving rain) and hosts St. Neots in this Division 5NW(s) encounter.
Despite the tough conditions the two teams put on an entertaining match. South struck first when they were awarded a penalty stroke after a defensive foot had stopped a goalbound shot on the line. Becky Eno took responsibility from the spot and slotted coolly home. St. Neots responded nearly immediately, but South took the lead again from a penalty corner finished by skipper Polly Lockyer.
Once again St. Neots were swiftly level to see the sides turn around all square. It was the hosts who went in front after the break and this time South had no response. The Player-of-the-Match award was shared by Eno and South goalie Ana Sear, who made a number of spectacular saves in the match.
