Cambridge South M6 vs Wisbech Town M3 match review

Gabriel Moore

Hello all,

It was an early start for a tough game against the league leader, Wisbech town M3.

From the off, Wisbech applied pressure and took an early lead with a number of quick goals despite the best efforts of our defense, especially our goalie, George T, who made some excellent saves. By half time their lead was already substantial.

Unfortunately Wisbech continued in the second half as they did in the first and spent most of the remainder of the game in our half, leaving us with little opportunity to attack.

There were many strong performances from the team, notably James Yu, the well-deserved man of the match, Andrew Thomas and chairman John who made some great runs and worked well with others and through some great teamwork we had a few close chances in the enemy box to get the allusive goal we deserved.

Overall, the team played some great hockey and the harsh 0-7 score to Wisbech did not reflect the skill and effort our players put in.
