Pre match
A windy beginning ***
9:45-9:50 ish start ( we will blame the extra windy WEATHER for pushing back the meet time )

First half
Feeling the Christmas dinner a bit…
Lots and lots of running around, some lovely defence preventing Nomads from scoring and solid work from midfield and forward to create some good opportunities!
Special Shoutout to Maddy for an excellent work rate off the ball *** and Jenny for “flying around the pitch like a plane” ***

Half time shenanigans
Current score 0-0
Sweets were passed around as we felt the aftermath of Christmas. We all agreed to make the ball work for us and work even more as a unit.
We also decided to be a bit more aggressive

Second half
The mysterious goal
The double teaming began to work and we became a unit.
We all knew that this couldn’t be a draw and we started to fight even harder.
Finally it all came together… Jess scored!! None of us really remember how it occurred but we can conclude that it was a massive relief and was definitely a team effort ***

Some quotes on goal description
“I just remember falling to the floor (rolled ankle) celebrating Like a footballer, without removing my shirt, and the whole team picking me up to my feet" ***
“Same for me I just felt it coming and then Jess was on her knees cheering”

The next day
A lot of aches and pains with a sprinkle of relief, as we are now 6th in the table (yay)
