A match report is never late

Sandy Taylor

A match report is never late, nor is it early, it arrives exactly when it means to.

This one will be short though because it actually is late and we've all forgotten most of the game.

The most important thing was: not only did we win, but we didn't succumb to complacency after our first goal or the Neots equaliser, continuing to pressure the whole time until we were rewarded with the winning shot. All the better for being both Lachie's first goal for the senior club, and the product of a quickly-taken free hit by the opposing D that skirted entering it by microns on its way to Lachie's eager receipt. Quality play is rewarded!

The first goal was a product of a powerful John Greaves strike only revealed days later to have hit the post before being knocked in by James T. So if anyone in the far future is trawling the historical record to understand the discrepancy in that vital statistic...don't say we aren't looking out for you.
