The ladies fives match against Bourne Deeping ended 1-4. Despite the score, both sides were pretty equal. South had more possession and used the space well. Bourne Deeping converted all their 4 attempts on goal, whereas South only managed to convert one fifth of theirs. In the first half, the first of Bourne Deeping's goals came from a break. South responded with a goal from Sarah R, which was the result of a fabulous set of passing between Amy and Elodie. The other Bourne Deeping goal was from a short corner which occurred right at the end of the half and the defence couldn't cope against the attack from the entire opposition. In the second half Bourne Deeping unfortunately got a goal from a short corner and the other from a break in open play. 3 of the 4 goals came from one player - her first hattrick. Hayley got player of the match for her super cool and calm defending. Others receiving votes were Sarah R for her goal, Sophie for her stirling performance as right wing, Victoria for great play in mid, supporting defence and attackers, Rosie for being all over the pitch and Lauren for keeping her energy the whole game, despite having already played for the 6s.
