The L6s headed to Ely for the first game of 2026.

The first half was dominated by Ely, who scored 3 good goals on the break, despite our defence's best efforts and some great goalkeeping by Tadi. Half time team talks surrounded making sure we were meeting the ball and passing a little bit earlier. The second half was an entirely different game, South dominated and we were up 2 goals with 10 minutes to go. The passes from the defence of Poppy, Astrid and Rosie through to the midfield were strong and allowed Sophie, Maya and Niamh to connect really well with Alice and Amelie in the forward line. Tadi pulled off some brilliant saves to keep us in it, but sadly we didn't quite manage to draw. 

Emily, Amelie and Maya played their first senior games and did brilliantly, the future of South is certainly bright.
